The Trinidad and Tobago Cup is pleased to issue this invitation to your organization or club, to attend our Annual Youth Tournament.
This Tournament will be held from 5th to 11th April 2010 and the age group will be for players born in 1993/1994 (U17) and 1995/1996 (U15).
The competition will be played in groups of teams followed by a knock out system for the winners of the groups.
Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three (3) matches and winners can play as many as six (6) matches to the final.
The Girls’ competition will consist of similar groups and the age group is 1991/92 (U19).
Only sixty four boy’s teams will be accepted, while the girl’s competition will have two groups of four teams.
This year, the winner of each group of sixteen will be given a trophy and will qualify for participation towards the next round of the competition.
This year’s registration fee for local teams is paid for by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. IT’S THEREFORE FREE TO ALL LOCAL CLUBS. Deadline 20th March 2010.
Foreign teams will pay a player registration of US$20.00 each, with a minimum of eighteen players and maximum of twenty two players.
Championship winners in each age group will receive a challenge trophy, gold medals and a cheque for $7500.00, runners-up will receive medals and a cheque for $3500.00, with the third place team receiving bronze medals and a cheque for $2000.00. MVP’s, most goals, best disciplined team will all receive medals.
